I dont often mention other artists or their stuff on my blog, but I must mention Claire Wendling’s new book Daisies published by Editions Soleil. It has so much great drawings in it it might erk on the side of illegal, plus it has one of the greatest Octopus drawings ever in it, I mean cmon thats worth the price of the book right there!… Im not sure the best place to get it, but im sure Amazon France would be a good place to start ! I must also mention ( coz im damn proud to have been asked ) my preface/introduction that resides in the book, I still question why I was asked, but Im not complaining, to write an intro for one of my favorite artists is a great moment, and I had to brag about it ! back to work for me ! oh yea, Even Claire suffers at the hand of my blurry phone cam photos !

And of course I have a flu..grrrr But, I have to say that was the best SDCC for me ever, a very different one, but great. I normally leave these things with a slight bummed or WTF feeling, but this time I feel great, everyone was nice, had some great chats, saw some great art by people I admire and spent time with good people ! I feel like I could take the whole Empire on.. And man, the Gentle Giant big-ass Stormtrooper is the shit!!! cough , splutter, sneezeeeee!

IDW says no to lame outdated cultural restrictions that allow so called swear words in film and tv but shudders like a dying egg bird when faced with it on a cover of low selling, hardly seen or noticed comic and art mag..

INFO as given to me: Tarot: An artists’ vision of the future What happens when you ask 10 of the best international artists their own personal interpretation of a Tarot card ? You get 10 visually stunning and emotionally challenging views on how each artist sees the future based on his interpretation of each card in combination with his creative association proces.

The Nom painting is nearly 6 feet tall, the other isnt small either. I have eye strain again, I use photography lights set up behind my back to illuminate the painting etc, but the brightness over my shoulder is fucking with my eyes… GAH ! Still the paintings are moving along !

Name: Astroid Robot Manufacturer: Durham Toy line: Sidewinders Release Date: 1970s Component Materials: Tin and Plastics Size: 5.5 inches tall Toy Description: When I was young, robots were seen as outlandish mechanical pets or comic relief. My earliest memories of them were of Rosie the Jetson’s maid, Robby the Robot in Forbidden Planet and the Robinson’s family robot in Lost in Space. In addition to these very fanciful robots, I had my own little toy robot whom I simply called “The Lost in Space robot” since it had so much in common with the Robinson’s robot.

I’ve been eyeing this figure for quite a while at my favourite toy shop and finally came round to scoring it. I have previously owned only one Gundam Fix Figuration (GFF) toy prior to this, and that is the GFF Deepstriker. I read from online reviews that the GFFN series has metal parts in it, and from a brief inspection, most of the metal bits occur in the elbows and knees
