What’s the next best thing to giant robots? In my little corner of the world, it is operators (men or women) in robot-armor or exo-skeleton suits! So tis will no small delight to see Huck Gee’s “BRUSIER” the Vlad Systems Vl.12 PowerSuit being operated by his custom-Munny “Sgt Vasquez”! And mind you, this is not a Mini-Munny, but a full-on 7-incher Munny sitting in the operator’s module ~ heck of

VIDEO-DESCRIPTION: MANILA, Philippines – Over a dozen local artists placed a green spin on the Robotic Tarsier (Robotars), an art toy designed by architect-artist Jomike Tejido, to help promote environmental awareness. Among them is Redworks Manila’s Gilbert Ibanez who designed Zakitar, a Robotar that “takes in dew from its mouth to grow hydrophonic plants in its body.” ~ “Zakitar is my first

The connection between blind lawyer-by-day “Matt Murdock” and Hell’s Kitchen-hero-by-night Dare Devil, and vigilante “Frank Castle” aka The Punisher has been the stuff of comicbook legends thru the years (well, to the folks who care about them anyways) from fisticuff-clashes to sharing jail-time on Rykers (back in ’06 ~ my comicbook-experience has stopped since then), they are arguably one of the

by Eleanor de Bruin These bulky, well-built robots from Ernest the Bear are decorated with appropriately robotic designs, using lithography. The bright colours and detail give each of the three available designs a unique and slightly sinister look. Just a few quick twists of the robots’ wind-up mechanism and the little tin guys are ready to scoot off across the floor

A gorgeously custom-painted TUTTZ from artist Emily Bee with an astoundingly sweet palette, for Argonaut Resins’ series of resin figures, shown here being one of three figures in total to be released (one at a time via her Etsy shop). And mind you this is still a work-in-progress!

by Eleanor de Bruin Fisher-Price has released a fun new game, bound to appeal to Thomas fans aged four and over. The Thomas & Friends Birthday Surprise Game is specially designed for younger ones, as no reading is required and all of the fun is based on trying to be the player who matches the most picture cards. The brightly-illustrated board shows Thomas’s home territory, the Island of Sodor.

by David Smith Tri 3D is the three-dimensional strategy game from PaNic Games , which aims to appeal to serious strategy game-players and family boardgamers alike. Split over three levels (which will strike a chord with Star Trek fans who remember Spock’s 3D chess), the game can be played by two or three players, who attempt to surround or corner their opponents’ pieces. Pieces can be moved one space at a time and can jump between the triangular levels for surprise attacks

Scored this from Hasbro’s 2 figures for S$25 promo. I’m impressed to see how far Star Wars have come with their articulation. Since picking up 2002′s GIJoe’s 3 3/4 figures, I’ve been wondering why Hasbro couldn’t translate it to all their toy lines

This took longer than expected as I thought I could complete it in the same weekend as Unicorn mode. I was slightly surprised that HGs these days have so many parts, and even my 80+ crocodile clips mounted on skewers weren’t sufficient to clear all the parts at one go. Again, a simple spray paint job which involved applying yellow, dark blue, grey and gunmetal, and finished off with a

A much easier job compared to the 1/48 Destroy Mode Unicorn Mode Head. I sprayed paint on the inner horns (yellow), the collar area (grey) and the vulcans (silver) and laid on a matte coat and that was about it for this piece.

As promised, here’s the 1/48 Unicorn Head Base in Destroy Mode. I cut short the time needed to work on this piece by eliminating one step of the initial process I wanted to use. I originally wanted to spray the eye area black, then paint over with enamel silver and finally with acrylic green

Via Ngee Khiong Quite a cool novelty item to own, and it comes with a special edition RX-78 1/100 model kit with can be mounted on the phone charger base. The RX-78 model kit has ‘metal in frame’ according to Ngee Khiong and I’ve no idea how that will work out.
