Sesame Street Place will be having several concert performances of the Fresh Beat Band on June 19 th and June20th. There will be three different shows on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, June 19 th there will be live shows at 12:30pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:45 pm. Sunday’s live shows of the Fresh Beat Band will be 10:45 am, 12 noon, and 1:15 pm. Along with the live shows there will be a meet and greet with the Fresh Beat Band at 1pm and 5:30 pm on Saturday. The Fresh Beat band is a musical quartet. Shout, Kiki, Twist, and Marina are skilled in several different musical instruments including the violin, drums, keyboard, and guitar. The band appeals to their preschool audiences with fun music and dances. You can watch the Fresh Beat Band weekly on Nick Jr. Sesame Place is a fun theme park that has rides and play areas that feature Elmo , Zoe , Super Grover , Abby Cadabby , Count , Big Bird , Rosita and many of the Sesame Street friends. Throughout the year there are many different live shows that feature Sesame Street characters and guests like the Fresh Beat Band.

Sesame Street: Cookie's Counting Carnival Sesame Street: Elmo’s A-to-Zoo Adventure This fall two Sesame Street games will be released for the Wii gaming system. The first, Sesame Street: Elmo’s A-to-Zoo Adventure has Elmo and Zoe going exploring around the zoo while learning literacy concepts. In the second game, Sesame Street: Cookie’s Counting Carnival , Cookie Monster and Big Bird have fun teaching kids early math skills.

Elmo and Cookie Monster visited a local Pennsylvania news station to promote Sesame Street Live -When Elmo Grows up. Elmo and Cookie Monster did two song and dances from the When Elmo Grows Up show. When Elmo grows up he say he wants to be a weather monster, while Cookie Monster wants to be a monster firefighter

The special programming will be a part of what PBS calls “Share the Earth Day.” Sesame Street’s special program will be “Wild Nature Survivor Guy” Wild Nature Survivor Guy is accustomed to surviving in the wilds of nature and thinks he needs to “survive” out on Sesame Street. First, Wild Nature Survivor Guy finds a tomato plant and bites into a ripe tomato.

The free passes are a way to celebrate the new Sesame Street Safari play area opening at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay this March. Busch Garden Tampa Bay is located in Tampa, Florida and is part of the SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment group that also includes Sesame Place in Pennsylvania. Alaina Reed-Amini, an actress and singer whose best-known characters were denizens of two of television’s celebrated addresses, “Sesame Street” and the tenement known only by its street number, “227,” died Thursday in Santa Monica, Calif. She was 63. Reed-Amini died after a battle with breast cancer.

As part of his inauguration celebration the ‘ Mayor Dave Bing Inaugural Committee has bought an exclusive early showing of the Sesame Street Live show “Elmo’s Green Thumb,” and plans to distribute 4,500 tickets to Detroit children between the ages of 3 and 6′. It was also reported that the tickets will be given to a diverse group of children, including those that are in homeless shelter and may never had the opportunity to see a Sesame Street Live program. The Sesame Street Live show will be January 28, 2009

This October, everybody’s favorite furry red monster and his Danish friend named Signe will be part of SESAMGADE, a new Sesame Street block in Denmark. The 80 episodes, 30-minute block will be featured on TV 2’s children’s weekend block Bavian, targeting 4-6 year old preschoolers. Along with the original Danish material, the block will include series Play with Me Sesame and Elmo’s World . Elmo and Signe get ready to host Sesamgrade Denmark’s very own Elmo and Signe, a young woman who has known Elmo since he was a baby, will sing songs, learn letters, tell stories and explore with the kids at home. Elmo’s World will allowchildren to explore their imagination by looking at the world through the eyes of a three-year-old.

Despite the brand new Marvel movie X-men Origins: Wolverine getting a bit of a lackluster critical nod (then there’s a great deal of derision from the die-hard comics addicts), the new Wolverine video game seems like it could almost be the most awesome comic book hero feature film tie-in-game in a ludicrously long time.
