But before going there I want to share somthing I’ve wondered about on and off for the last few weeks. The Fashion Royalty doll called Night Warrior comes with a cross on a chain.

I applaud them for being inclusive when it comes to different ethnicities and beliefs in the creation of their dolls and background stories. Their dolls are widely available and are not charicatures of children of various ethnic backgrounds, they are just children who happen to be different from eachother

As part of his inauguration celebration the ‘ Mayor Dave Bing Inaugural Committee has bought an exclusive early showing of the Sesame Street Live show “Elmo’s Green Thumb,” and plans to distribute 4,500 tickets to Detroit children between the ages of 3 and 6′. It was also reported that the tickets will be given to a diverse group of children, including those that are in homeless shelter and may never had the opportunity to see a Sesame Street Live program. The Sesame Street Live show will be January 28, 2009
