2010 preview: Scalextric
Thought I’d do a little practicing with paper clay before I actually take an online class with Dixie Redmond on making Izannah Walker style dolls. This is what I’ve come up with.

The year will also see the launch of the first plane in the Schleich range. The previous posts of Mattel’s Justice League animated series figures were meant to culminate in this post, with all the members assembled. I was inspired to take photos of these old toys in my collection after my recent viewing of the Justice League Complete Series DVD.

But all I caught was some silly love bugs They are pretty cute but they have a pretty effective little bite……….buggers!!! I also made some Valentine candies So basically I am just excited to be going to California tomorrow. The snow is still thick on the ground here, and it’s bloomin’ freezing to boot, the thought of spending some time outdoors on the beach makes me jump for joy. Making the valentine’s goodies did make me excited for spring and Easter and warmer weather though………..alright see you in two weeks.

While we have managed to avoid printing a paper catalog for Hazelnut Kids , this past holiday season I realized we may be in the minority! Each day I checked the mail at my home, I had to make a stop at the recycling bin to drop in the 3-4 catalogs that were received that day. The mound grew, and I realized there were many duplicate catalogs. The cover may have been different, but the company was the same, and for the most part – so were the products featured. I think catalogs certainly have their place – not everyone has computer access believe it or not, and sometimes you just want to be able to flip through tangible pages while looking at products – but the duplicate mailings do more harm than good when they just get tossed.

Can you take glow sticks or glow bracelets on airplanes? With the past month being holidays and so many customers packed up glow sticks for fun to go to Disneyland, we have got the question a lot. So far according to our customers, they haven’t had a problem taking glow sticks onto flights, whether they were in checked luggage or brought onboard. It would be a good idea to keep the products in their original packaging, which would also help to keep the freshness of the products and avoid accidentally activating the glow sticks, which are designed to glow for 8-12 hours
